Message on Independence Day to Students
Respected Teachers, Parents and dear friends
Today we have gathered here to celebrate our 70th Independence day. As we all know that on this day that is 15th August 1947 India got Independence getting rid from the British rule and since then we got some fundamental rights and overall a right to call India as our own Nation, our own Motherland.
We are fortunate enough to born in Independent India but history reveals how our ancestors and forefathers suffered in the brutal rule of Britishers. Getting independence from the British rule was not a cakewalk.
It took several decades of struggle right from 1857 when Mangal Pandey who was a souldier in British force first raised the voice against Britishers, since then several freedom fighters struggled and even gave their life for freedom.
How can one forget Bhagat Singh, Chandra Sekhar Azad, Khudi Ram Bose who lost their life in a very tender age just for fighting for freedom. How can the struggle of Netaji and Gandhiji be ignored. Gandhiji who was the key person taught us how a big battle can be won by non violence. Finally the result of the struggle came on 15th August 1947 when India got independence and since then we proudly celebrate this day.
In 70 years of Independence we have exponentially progressed in every field right from education, technology, sports, finance and all other fields which were not possible before Independence.
Message on Independence Day of India
India is now among the few Countries rich in nuclear power, we have been number one in the World in sports like hockey, cricket. We have won gold medal in olympics, have been successful in Commonwealth games and Asian games.
In technical fields India and Indians are ahead in many Countries and these all development happened as we got the opportunity in free India.
We the Indians are proud to be a citizen of a free Country having largest democracy in the World. We have got several rights, most of all right to chose Government. But on the other side we should remember our duties too.
We have to respect this independence for which our forefathers struggled to the extent of sacrificing everything including their lives. There are still some grey areas which we have to get rid off. They are few people using this Independence, rights for their self motives at the cost of the pride of our Country.
We students, children are the future of our Country, we have to carry what we have been given in better way. We have to grow up as a responsible citizen, contribute to our level best for growth and development of our motherland India. Let us take a pledge in this 67th Independence day that we will respect our independence and will always keep our National flag flying high.
Message for Independence Day in English
Honorable Chief Guest of the day, distinguished guests for the occasion, teachers, parents and all my dear friends wish you very very Happy Independence Day.
As you know all of us have gathered here to celebrate 70th independence day of our nation. This day, after the hosting national flag, we salute and remember the heroic deeds of all freedom fighters. As a citizen of India, I feel so proud to give a speech on Independence Day and share some of my views with you all.
On the night of August 14, 1947, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru rose to make a speech on Independence day in New Delhi, When the world sleeps, India will wake to life and freedom. India became free from the British rule. Now, India is the largest democratic country in the world. The country’s strength is to find, Unity in diversity. But, there are stray incidents that test her secularism but the people of India are ready to sacrifice anything for the cause of unity.
My dear friends,We were the privileged lot to have been born in free India. We were able to breathe the fresh free air since our birth. If at all we want to know the pangs of agony of being slaves under a foreign rule, we must ask our elders born before 1947.
It was indeed a Himalayan task for every Indian those days to fight against those powerful giants the British rulers. We must not allow those hard times and struggles fade away from our memories.Hence it is befitting for us to celebrate such National festivals and recall those heroic deeds of our National heroes. We remember them today.
Long years ago we made a tryst with destiny, and now the time comes when we will redeem our pledge, not wholly or in full measure, but very substantially. At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom. A moment comes, which comes but rarely in history, when we step out from the old to the new, when an age ends and when the soul of a nation, long suppressed, finds utterance. We end today a period of ill fortune, and India discovers herself again.
Today we remember the great leaders who gave their lives for the nation’s freedom and prosperity. Dr. B.R.Ambedkar gave the longest written constitution to us. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru worked for an Industrialized India.
Gandhi ji taught us Ahimsa and Non-violence. Subhash Chandra Bose inducted courage in us. Swami Vivekanand gave us spiritual power. But its not good to remember the heroic deeds of only few main leaders of freedom fight because the freedom fighting was collective effort.
Without cooperation, sacrifice and involvement of all Indians it was impossible to get the freedom. So people of India were the real national heroes behind the success. We should express our sincere gratitude to all those who participated in the freedom struggle. This can only be done by defending our freedom like our ancestral property which cannot be valued.
But the questions arises How to defend?
We know that Single person cannot defend it; again group effort is essential, it is nothing but unity.
But again How to form this unity?
We should always remember that only patriotism can form unity irrespective of religion, language, caste, customs and traditions. So having patriotism only can save the freedom of our nation.
To keep faith in secularism
No compromise must be with patriotism,
Punish the forces that support terrorism
Else one bad day we will loose our freedom.
Well at the end we must take an oath that let us do our duty of preparing ourselves to be well-educated citizens of tomorrow. Let us do our duty sincerely and do work hard to achieve a goal. Today we require youngsters with lot of knowledge and energy. Illiteracy is the first enemy for a democratic nation. Let us get rid of illiteracy and take India to a bright future.
Jai Hind Jai Bharat..!!!!
